Before Desexing Information

Things to know before your pet is desexed

Microchipping information

The Victorian government now requires all pet owners wanting their pet microchipped to get a source number. If you are wanting your pet microchipped on the day of desexing, you as the pet owner must acquire a source number for pur team to be able to register your pets microchip with a online register. Please note this is NOT council registration that is a separate registration.

You must put all of your existing pets details in including their microchip numbers to then be able to acquire a source number. Alternatively you can call them 136186. Before your pets desexing or vaccination and microchip litter appointment, you must get this source number. Please bring this number with you on the day of your appointment.

Please be aware that your Source Number MUST be valid and NOT expired. Source numbers must be renewed yearly therefore, please provide our staff with evidence of your valid Source Number upon arrival.
